Glass Roots tile is a recycled, small-batch fired glass tile. Each firing is unique; therefore, the tiles from each box must be thoroughly mixed with tiles from all other boxes to ensure a uniform color mix. We suggest laying all the pieces out first (ideally, against a white background) to place the tiles in a manner that is most visually appealing.

Installation of Product

Glass tile requires unique installation methods to allow for movement. A professional installation using correct materials is a must. We strongly recommend white Tec Superflex or equivalent, applying the thinset using a trowel or roller. This will insure even, thick coverage. This will need to dry (the thinset container indicates three to four hours, but we suggest at least six to eight).

An anti-fracture membrane must be used on any glass tile larger than a 1×1-inch square. We suggest using either Custom Red Guard or TEC Hydraflex.
